Nature of ferrets
Ferrets are sweet and don't bite! They can be very fun to play with after you get to know your ferret. Ferrets will try to take shoes, socks, hats, and etc. lots of times ferrets will bite your sock and pull on you socks, and all that they're trying to tell you is for you to follow them! Did you know that ferrets are felines, just like cats!
Choosing your ferret
You should choose a ferret not by the color, but its characteristics. This is what you should look for a shinny coat, bright eyes, if its alert, if its active, and if it is interested in you! Usually you get the best ferrets from breeders, rather than from pet stores, shelters, pounds, and etc.
Good points to have a ferret
They will remember when its time to get fed, when they get played with, and etc. They love to have human company, and the company of other ferrets. You can let your ferret and dog get to know each other, and letting them play with each other, but keep a close watch when they're playing with each other, because your dog not intentionally but might get too excited and might accidentally hurt your ferret!
Not so good points to have a ferret
Your ferret at some point of your life will get in trouble! Sometimes some hobs (male ferrets) will be strong enough and open your cabinet or fridge, even sometimes your jill (female ferret) can do it too! Also ferrets love to dig, so you have to keep plants away from your ferret so your ferret won't be tempted to dig in your plant! Ferrets also can overheat easily outside in the summer! If you decide to only own one ferret you need to spend time with it a lot otherwise your ferret will get lonely, so I would recommend that you get two ferrets so they have company while your away and they wont get lonely, or sad!
How to take care of ferrets
You should wash your ferret at least once a week, and you should change their water every single day. When you feed your ferret, you should give your ferret enough food to get through the day, because sometimes your ferret will over eat, and will get FAT!!! Remember, if you have any questions, or comments please notify me!
A very good and informative first effort. Keep up the good work.
